Oxidate Intermediates and Formulated Additive Packages are derived from varying feed stocks with TAN values ranging from 4 to 70. These products provide temporary to long-term corrosion protection on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in oil, solvent, or water diluted systems. Some packages also provide demulsibility, water displacement, lubricity, acid vapor, and non-staining properties.

K-OX™ 3EB
K-Ox™ 3EB is a partial butyl ester of a petroleum derivative. It is a dark brown, soft, semi-solid compound. K-Ox™ 3EB is highly polar in nature making it an excellent wetting agent that provides lubricity to formulated products. K-Ox™ 3EB functions by being attracted to metal surfaces, thereby providing a multi-molecular film which lowers the coefficient of friction and, at the same time, affords mild rust protection.

K-OX™ 9010D
K-Ox™ 9010D is a non-staining, non-emulsifiable, alkali resistant, water displacing, rust preventive which is particularly effective displacing water from metal parts after machining operations or alkali cleaning. K-Ox™ 9010D can be blended with solvents, kerosene and/or oil depending on the type of film desired. The resulting films of K-Ox™ 9010D will be ultra-thin and will provide humidity resistance. Solutions of K-Ox™ 9010D offer water displacement, quickly and completely separating water displaced from metal surfaces even after vigorous agitation.

K-OX™ 9020
K-Ox™ 9020 is a versatile rust and corrosion inhibitor containing oxygenated hydrocarbons, barium, and sodium sulfonates. K-Ox™ 9020 can be blended with oil or petroleum solvent and readily emulsified. This product demonstrates excellent humidity and corrosion protection properties. K-Ox ™ 9020 can be used as a general-purpose corrosion inhibitor additive for use in slushing oils, rust preventive lubricants, and metalworking fluids. It may also be used as an additive in the preparation of water base rust preventives.

K-OX™ 9056
K-Ox™ 9056 is a water displacing additive designed for formulating rust and corrosion inhibitors. K-Ox™ 9056 can be used to protect bright, ground, or highly polished steel surfaces. It is soluble in aliphatic solvents, low aromatic solvents, kerosene, and most oils. K-Ox™ 9056 imparts water displacing characteristics and offers rust and corrosion protection in high humidity, saltwater, and acid atmospheres. K-Ox™ 9056 can also be used in metalworking fluids and wax emulsions as a corrosion inhibitor when properly formulated with an amine such as triethanolamine.

K-OX™ 9065C
K-Ox™ 9065C is a calcium soap of oxygenated hydrocarbon. K-Ox™ 9065C can be blended with oils and petroleum solvents to produce films that are ultra-thin, non-staining, and offer excellent humidity resistance. K-Ox™ 9065C films offer rapid water displacement from metal surfaces. This product can be used with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

K-OX™ 9080-55HF & 9080-70HF
K-Ox™ 9080-55HF and 9080-70HF are economical calcium soaps of oxidized petrolatum used in rust preventive compounds. K-Ox™ 9080-55HF and 9080-70HF have been reduced with solvent to reach non-volatile contents of 55% and 70% respectively. They will deposit dark amber waxy films upon evaporation of the solvent. They are especially synergistic with gelled calcium sulfonate such as Kimes Technologies’ Jalpon™ products.

K-OX™ 9100
K-Ox™ 9100 is a barium free non-staining, non-emulsifiable, alkali resistant, water displacing and water separating rust preventive concentrate which is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic solvents, naphthenic and paraffinic oils, and a selection of natural oils. K-Ox™ 9100 is particularly effective in displacing water from metal parts after machining operations or alkali cleaning. K-Ox™ 9100 will deposit an ultra-thin oily or waxy film, depending upon the diluent used. K-Ox™ 9100 will provide excellent humidity resistance and provide limited protection in salt environments and acid atmospheres.

K-OX™ 9105
K-Ox™ 9105 is a barium-based non-staining, non-emulsifiable, alkali resistant, water displacing and water separating rust preventive concentrate which is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic solvents, and naphthenic and paraffinic oils. K-Ox™ 9105 is particularly effective in displacing water from metal parts after machining operations or alkali cleaning. K-OX™ P600/45

K-Ox™ W15L and W75L are synthetic fatty acids made from petroleum hydrocarbons. K-Ox™ W15L and W75L may be used as a total or partial replacement for natural fats, oils, or fatty acid in the formulation of cutting, drawing, spinning, and rolling oils. They are not subject to bacterial degradation as are the natural fats. The esters derived from K-Ox™ W15L and W75L offer excellent lubricity and wetting characteristics to metalworking formulations. The higher acid number of K-Ox™ W75L offers more reactive sites for effective conversion to a variety soaps and esters.

K-SYN™ CI-100
K-Syn™ CI-100 is a high performance, water soluble corrosion inhibitor formulated to provide protection to cast iron and steel alloys. K-Syn™ CI-100 is designed for use in synthetic and low oil semi-synthetic metalworking fluids, water-based hydraulic fluids, and industrial cleaners. This amine carboxylate is inherently low foaming and has exceptional hard water stability. K-Syn™ CI-100 will deposit a thin oily-type film, upon the evaporation of water, which will also provide some short-term storage protection. K-Syn™ CI-100 contains no nitrates/nitrites, boron or secondary amines.
